I wish I approached strangers more, it's usually very rewarding when things work well. I saw a group of skaters while wandering today, going back and forth practicing their flips and slides, and seeing the light of the day I knew I would be sorry if I didn't take some shots. They spoke English and were cool with it so I did what I could with their rushing by and the waning sun. Pre-focusing so I'd be ready, I managed to get the shot tack-sharp.
It's all about dedication and repetition. They weren't afraid of falling, they were focused on succeeding.
