For many of us, life isn't as pretty as we wish, or pretend. Most media works to project our desires, not reality. It's not just individuals, but society itself works behind a facade, trying to show off its tall, shiny buildings and wide, clean roads, and there everyone gathers and pretend there are no dirty alleys where all the trash is swept and the windows are never cleaned. Many authors have taught us that there is no achievable utopia, and some problems can not be completely solved, only hidden from the public.
And although we cannot achieve perfection, we can certainly do better than this.
